What You're Eating

Children born today are coming in with new and profound gifts and abilities. But the foods, products, environment, and technologies they are being exposed to are inhibiting these gifts from prospering. These impacts are not only on our children, but on everyone, although, children's bodies are the most sensitive.

We are an energetic beings in a human body experiencing life. If the vehicle, the human body, is being damaged, it has effects on our energetic connection too.

Foods

There is a reason insects do not want to consume genetically modified foods. By design, fruits and vegetables are meant to decompose over time. When they are genetically modified, it helps the corporations keep foods on the shelves and increase their profits. Genetically modified foods are produced from organisms whose DNA has been altered using genetic engineering techniques to introduce pest resistance traits. When we consume these foods, our genes also change. Corporations love using them because GMO foods have much longer shelf lives. But, this is at the detriment of people's health. Animal feeding studies have linked GMOs to problems with reproduction, immune, organ damage, gastrointestinal distress, cholesterol and insulin, as just a few examples.

I have always been geared towards giving my children healthy foods. But, in 2012, when one of my sons was around two years old, he began developing rashes. I took him to the doctor, and they provided various cortisone creams and said to apply them any time he had a rash. But these creams were chemicals, and I didn't want him to always have to always apply creams. I asked, "How to we get rid of his rash for good?" I was told there was no cure. I wasn't about to believe this. I didn't want chemically derived creams to be my son's future.

Then I began meeting with naturopaths and began analyzing what foods we were eating; I was shocked to learn how harmful GMOs were. At the time I had asked my son's pediatrician, and she said there was no difference between GMO and organic foods and that organic foods were just a marketing gimmick. I realized how wrong she was. There was a true difference and when I stopped giving my son GMO corn, his eczema began to clear up. Then I began looking into what other foods had corn and to my shock GMO corn was in everything, not just under the name "corn" but also various derivative corn names. Some of those names include:

Sweeteners / Sugars

  • Corn syrup

  • High-fructose corn syrup (HFCS)

  • Dextrose

  • Glucose / Glucose syrup

  • Fructose

  • Maltose

  • Maltodextrin

  • Sorbitol

  • Mannitol

  • Polydextrose

  • Erythritol (sometimes corn-derived)

Starches / Thickeners

  • Corn starch / Modified corn starch

  • Corn flour

  • Food starch / Modified food starch (often corn)

  • Tapioca starch (less commonly GMO corn, but check source)

  • Hydroxypropyl starch

  • Pre-gelatinized starch

  • Sodium starch glycolate

Oils / Emulsifiers

  • Corn oil

  • Lecithin (often from corn)

  • Soy or sunflower lecithin (corn-based variants exist)

  • Mono- and diglycerides

  • Sodium stearoyl lactylate

  • DATEM (diacetyl tartaric acid ester of mono- and diglycerides)

There are also other GMO-derived products including soybeans, sugar beets, cotton seeds and canola.

Organic foods typically are cleaner. Although the GMO seed contamination can still happen to organic farms through wind flow, pollination, etc. But, they are much healthier than GMO.

Now, some grocery stores like Whole Foods are beginning to apply a product called Apeel or sometimes referred to as Organipeel, onto organic foods. It serves the same purpose as GMO products, it allows shelf life to increase, therefore increasing profits for corporations. It is a fungicide. But, little study has been done on this product and it's impact on health. In fact, it appears the product cannot completely be washed away. Some also question one of its active ingredients being citric acid, as this is commonly derived from GMO corn. The majority of Apeel's ingredient list is not being publicly disclosed, which is furthering the concern.

So, for those who went all in on organic, corporations have found ways now to even harm organic foods. Trader Joe's and local markets are a good place to call and check to ensure they are not spraying their products with Apeel. Our local PCC market does not. But, anyone's policies can change at any time.

Even organic breads can contain warning labels (see below) of chemicals that can lead to cancer, birth defects, and reproductive harm. It's important to always read labels, whether it is organic or not. Though, organic is typically safer.

Take Your Power Back

What can you do? Buy local organic produce that is in season. Contact your grocery store to ensure they are not applying Apeel to their produce.

Stay with healthy, living, colorful fruits and vegetables that naturally decompose. You will feel the difference in the taste and quality, therefore, transferring that same cleaner energy to your body and its energetic field.

Food also carries energy with it. The more processed foods we eat, the lower the energy of the food and the more tired and lethargic we feel after consuming it. The higher the energy foods we consume, the more focused we feel with increased clarity. Try to limit how much processed foods are consumed by your family.

Once we changed the foods we were consuming to cleaner and healthier options, my son's eczema began to clear. The eczema was my son's way of signaling that something was not right with what we were consuming.

We also began my son on immunotherapy called AllergyEasy, where it trains your body with small increments to be okay with a long list of allergens. This along with healing his stomach lining (leaky gut) with probiotics and grass-fed collagen, allows him to eat what he wants today without having to deal with eczema issues and creams. As a family, we still eat everything but in moderation, focusing on organic living colorful foods, and avoiding GMOs as much as possible.

I highly recommend watching this documentary called, "Seeds of Death: Unveiling The Lies of GMOs"

Then I began to look into our water, detergents, face creams, shampoos, and cotton, and I was even more shocked to see what was found in them.
